Score-Boosting Tactics

• Slow way down before you even touch the trailer angle - most of the mess-ups here happen because someone panicked and yanked the wheel too fast on approach.
• Swap camera angles constantly. Seriously, don't just sit in one view and hope for the best; the side and rear perspectives catch clearance issues the default angle just won't show you.
• Break the maneuver into small chunks. Nudge, stop, check your mirrors and angles, nudge again. Trying to do it in one long sweep is how you clip a curb or a wall.
• Watch the trailer, not the cab. The cab goes where you point it, but the trailer's swing is the part that actually decides whether you park clean or jackknife into a barrier.
• Give yourself a wider setup angle than feels necessary. A shallow approach into the marked zone is way more forgiving than a sharp last-second correction.
• If the back end starts drifting off-line, pull forward and reset rather than fighting it in reverse. Fighting it usually just makes the angle worse.

Control Scheme

• W or the up arrow rolls the rig forward.
• S or the down arrow eases it into reverse.
• A and D, or the left and right arrows, steer the cab and, by extension, drag the trailer along with it.
• Camera switching is your real tool here - use it liberally to line up the trailer with the marked docking zone from angles the default view can't give you.

The whole point is parking, but don't let that word fool you into thinking it's simple. You're guiding a full trailer truck through a sprawling city map, dodging whatever the streets throw at you, all so you can back that long rig into a tight marked spot without clipping a single thing. The physics react like an actual loaded truck, sluggish, wide, a little stubborn on turns, so patience and camera awareness matter more than speed. Nail the docking cleanly and it's honestly a pretty satisfying little payoff.
